The Challenger Foundation Goes Global On Its Own Doorstep

FOUNDATION BACK UP SCREENGRAB- GLOBAL FC

The Challenger Foundation is proud to support organizations that are creating meaningful opportunities for young people through sport—especially within the communities we call home. With Challenger Sports’ head office based in Kansas, partnerships like this one with Global FC carry particular significance.

Global FC is a Kansas City–based organization serving refugee and other under-served youth by using soccer as a tool for growth, connection, and confidence. Recently, the Challenger Foundation donated uniforms to Global FC’s boys’ teams, helping ensure that players could step onto the field feeling prepared, included, and valued. For many of these young athletes, having proper equipment removes a key barrier to participation and reinforces a sense of belonging—both on and off the field.

Global FC shared the following message after receiving the uniforms:

“On behalf of the Global FC Board of Directors and the entire Global FC community, I want to extend our heartfelt appreciation. Your contribution plays a vital role in our efforts to support refugees and other under-served youth and families… There is something powerful, beautiful, and empowering when a child feels equipped to do their best, especially in the sport which they are so passionate about.” (Mariya Dostzadah Goodbrake, CDP)

This partnership reflects the Challenger Foundation’s long-standing commitment to supporting grassroots organizations that use soccer to open doors and strengthen communities. Being able to support local Kansas City–area programs aligns closely with the Foundation’s roots and reinforces our belief that meaningful impact often begins close to home.

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside Global FC in their work and to play a small part in equipping these incredible youth—on the field and beyond.
